about

"My music is pure vibes in essence and in concept!" says London-based former Shez Raja Collective Keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist PVibez. "The whole intention with going back with this anthology is to basically move forward into new territories and horizons."

After taking his name to a whole new audience with the critically acclaimed Vibezlab Sessions I & II (2018-2019) featuring the stellar talent of US neo-soul Queen Laurnea, Eshe Escoffery (of The Escofferys fame) UK Soul & Garage King- Lifford Shillingford and rising star Andrae Bentley which gained him a GroundBreakin Award nomination in the process, PVibez's star was no doubt on the ascension once more.

PVibez released an experimental project entitled 'X-Perimental Mass' featuring some handy percussion work from US percussionist to the stars Dr. JoVia Armstrong that received the notoriety he had hoped for in mid-summer of 2020, ideally placing his muse left of center for future experimental musical projects under the X-Perimental Mass banner

The latter of 2020 saw him begin to release a slew of singles which basically preceded this project. The first was 'Spread Love' a jazz/soul flavored funk groove with jazzy synth extemporizations that created quite a little stir in the indie soul world. It was officially released in January 2021 with a video to boot,
PVibez followed on with two more singles that year- Sweet (so refined) and the well-received instrumental 'Celestial Dance 3000 before going awol for the majority of 2022 until the release of a well-received video for Celestial Dance 3000 which had been sitting in the cutting room since the spring of 2021.

Fast forward and 'A Retrospektiv Delux' is celebrating and bringing forward the solo works of PVibez to an audience who may not have heard the music. And for the older fans and supporters, there are a few cuts in here that have never been released, as well as a couple of edits of released tracks that have not seen the light of day until now.

As this anthology is about the legacy of PVibez's past works in the old Vibezlab Studio and location, the compilation of these tracks is both a closing and an opening of doors so to speak. The next chapter is on its way in the very near future. But in the meantime;- there are twenty-five tracks of genre-hopping, genre-bending soul, funk, and jazz-influenced grooves to get into.
